Top AI Voice Agent Startups in India: A Fair Landscape
India's voice-AI field splits into five kinds of company: self-serve products for small businesses, enterprise multichannel platforms, service-led outcome vendors, custom builders and telephony firms adding AI. This guide describes what a dozen named companies actually sell, from their own websites as read on 2026-10-14, who each one suits, and how to test them yourself. Outpero publishes this post and is one of the companies covered.
Outpero publishes this post and sells an AI voice agent, so it is a party to the comparison. Every fact about another company comes from that company's own website, read on 2026-10-14 unless a date says otherwise. Anything marked 'claimed' is the vendor's own statement and has not been tested by Outpero. This is a landscape, not a ranking. Funding and company size are left out on purpose, because neither tells a buyer whether the calls will work.
How voice-AI companies in India actually differ
Almost every site in this category says the same four things: human-like voices, many languages, 24/7 and low latency. The useful differences are structural. They are about who sets the agent up, how the company charges, which languages it names, and what it expects you to bring.
Sorting companies by those structural differences gives five groups. A small clinic and a bank should not be shopping in the same group, and most bad purchases come from buying from the wrong one.
- —Self-serve products. You sign up, describe the job, buy a number and start. Pricing is usually published. Suits a small or mid-sized business with no engineers.
- —Enterprise and multichannel platforms. Voice sits beside WhatsApp, chat and analytics, sold through demos and contracts. Suits large support or collections programmes.
- —Service-led outcome vendors. A forward-deployed engineer builds the agent with you and runs a pilot. Suits teams that want a managed result rather than a tool.
- —Custom builders. Agencies and model companies that build to your specification. Suits unusual requirements, private deployment or your own recordings.
- —Telephony companies adding AI. Numbers, IVR, dialers and contact-centre software, with voice agents added on top. Suits businesses that need a whole phone system, not only an agent.

Self-serve products: Outpero, Ringg AI, Vomyra and EchoLeads
These four let a business start without a sales cycle, which is why they matter most to small and mid-sized buyers. They differ sharply in how they bill and which languages they name.
Ringg AI charges ₹6 per connected minute with speech, voice, model and telephony folded in, and sells a visual workflow canvas that gives a builder more control than a describe-the-job setup. It also sells WhatsApp and chat agents, which Outpero does not. Its pricing page states a monthly minimum commitment without giving the amount, so ask before you plan a budget.
Vomyra is the one to look at if your volume is high and steady. Its flat plans start at ₹19,999 a month, and once a single line passes roughly 4,000 minutes a month that works out cheaper than a per-minute rate of ₹5. The trade-off is a monthly commitment of ₹15,000 or more after the trial, and a fixed number of concurrent calls per plan. Vomyra names Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Bengali among its Indian languages; Bengali is not among Outpero's languages.
EchoLeads is a Hyderabad platform built around sales calling. A team that wants voice, WhatsApp and Instagram agents from one vendor gets a wider stack there than from a voice-only product. Its pricing and Indian language list are not published, and its compliance copy cites TCPA and DNC lists rather than DLT, so ask about both.
Outpero's position is narrower and, for the right buyer, more concrete. It is a specialist in regional-language voice AI: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam and Indian English, with the agent switching to English the moment the caller does. The price is the same in every language, there is no monthly fee, and 50 free credits cover the first tests. The limits are real. Each channel handles one call at a time, extra channels cost ₹649 a month, and there is no standalone WhatsApp chat agent.
Enterprise and multichannel: Gnani.ai, Haptik, Convin and Skit.ai
Gnani.ai names nine Indian languages and lists SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA and PCI-DSS, with cloud, private cloud, on-premise and air-gapped deployment. For a bank or any regulated enterprise that is far more than Outpero offers. Gnani also offers a self-serve API key alongside sales-led deals, but publishes no rates.
Haptik is built around channels. Its site lists WhatsApp, RCS Business Messaging, Instagram, Messenger and web alongside voice, plus independent compliance audits. If the question is one support programme across ten channels, it is a different league from a voice-only tool.
Want to hear this working, not just read about it?
Convin starts from the human side of the phone: it audits every call a contact-centre agent takes, coaches agents and assists them live, and has added AI phone calls and a collections product. Skit.ai is the narrowest of the group, a collections specialist with FDCPA, TCPA and Reg F guardrails written for the US market and pilots that typically take four to six weeks to go live. Both sell through demos, not sign-up pages.
Service-led and custom builders: SquadStack, Zingaro AI and KriraAI
SquadStack supports nine Indian languages, including Gujarati and Bengali, and says it is typically priced between ₹2 and ₹5 a minute plus a one-time enterprise setup cost. Its own description is roughly two weeks of setup and then a four to eight week live pilot, with a forward-deployed engineer on every account. That suits a sales team with a large outbound target that wants someone else to tune the agent.
Zingaro AI describes itself as an AI-native services company. It will train speech models on your own recordings and run them on your servers, air-gapped if needed, with clients in the United States and the Middle East. KriraAI is a custom development agency that builds voice agents around your CRM and workflows, and also builds chatbots and other software. Neither is a product you sign up for, and that is the point: they exist for requirements a product cannot meet.
Telephony companies adding AI: Exotel, Ozonetel, Knowlarity and MyOperator
These are older Indian cloud-telephony businesses. Exotel lists dialers, call routing and a voice blaster, and claims 99.99% uptime. Ozonetel offers predictive and power dialers, DND scrubbing and a Voice AI page claiming 12+ languages. Knowlarity sells toll-free and virtual numbers, IVR and a cloud contact centre with published rupee prices for much of it, and MyOperator sells IVR, routing and WhatsApp tools for human teams, with an AI tier on custom pricing.
Choose from this group when the phone system is the problem and AI is an add-on. If the agent is the product you want, a dedicated voice-AI company is usually the faster route. Several of these firms publish no AI voice price at all, so budget a sales conversation.
Older entries, last verified in July 2026
Edesy, Zudu AI, LuMay AI, OnDial and Troika Tech were checked on 2026-07-30 and are due a re-check. At that date Edesy published three monthly tiers of ₹1,499, ₹4,999 and ₹14,999 with included minutes, while Zudu AI claimed 300+ concurrent calls and the others published no price. Treat these as pointers and confirm on each vendor's site.
Seven criteria that matter more than a company's story
- 01Language fit. Ask for the exact language and the way your customers mix in English, not a count of languages. A list of 70 languages says nothing about the one you need.
- 02Published price and what it includes. Check whether telephony, the number and GST are inside the rate, and whether there is a monthly minimum.
- 03Concurrency. Find out how many calls can run at once and what each extra line costs. A campaign of 5,000 numbers on one line takes days.
- 04Latency you can measure. A claimed figure is marketing; the gap you time on a live call is evidence.
- 05Indian telephony compliance. Ask whether the calling line is DLT-registered and whether bulk campaigns screen against DND.
- 06Handover. Confirm the agent can transfer to a person, and what the person sees when the call arrives.
- 07What you get after the call. Recording, transcript, summary and a webhook into your CRM decide whether the calls become work done.
A test method you can run in one afternoon
- 01Shortlist two vendors from different groups. Comparing two near-identical self-serve products teaches less than comparing a product with a managed service.
- 02Write one real script from your own business: an enquiry, three objections and one booking. Use the same script on every vendor.
- 03Call each agent from your own phone, in the language and mix your customers use. Switch to English mid-sentence and back again.
- 04Time the pause between your last word and the agent's reply on five questions, and interrupt it twice.
- 05Ask for a price in writing, including everything that is billed on top, and ask how long a real deployment takes.
- 06Run a ten-number pilot on the winner before committing a list. Read the transcripts, not only the dashboard.
Where Outpero fits, and where it does not
Outpero fits a business that wants to start today, in a regional language, at a published per-minute price: a clinic, a coaching institute, a real-estate team, a retailer chasing lead-ad enquiries. It does not fit every buyer.
- —Choose a vendor with Bengali, Gujarati or Punjabi if your callers speak them. Outpero does not support those languages.
- —Choose an enterprise platform if you need SOC 2, on-premise deployment or one programme across WhatsApp, RCS and voice.
- —Choose a flat-fee plan if one line will carry a very high, steady volume every month.
- —Choose a telephony company if you need toll-free numbers, IVR trees and a contact centre for human agents.
Frequently asked questions
Which is the best AI voice agent startup in India?
+
There is no single best, because the companies sell different things. A self-serve product suits a small business, an enterprise platform suits a bank, and a custom builder suits unusual requirements. Pick the group first, then test two vendors on your own script, in your customers' language, before comparing prices.
How is this list of Indian voice AI companies compiled?
+
Every fact comes from each company's own website, read on 2026-10-14, with older entries dated 2026-07-30. Vendor claims are labelled as claimed. Funding, headcount and customer numbers are excluded because they do not predict call quality. Outpero publishes the post and is one of the companies listed, so verify the facts on each vendor's site.
Which Indian voice AI companies publish their pricing?
+
As of 2026-10-14, Outpero (₹5 or ₹6.8 a minute), Ringg AI (₹6 a minute) and Vomyra (flat monthly plans) publish rupee prices. SquadStack gives an indicative ₹2 to ₹5 a minute range. Gnani.ai, Haptik, Convin, Skit.ai, Zingaro AI, KriraAI and EchoLeads publish none, so expect a demo first.
Do Indian voice AI agents support regional languages?
+
Most claim to, but few name the languages. Outpero supports Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam and Indian English, with mid-sentence switching to English. SquadStack and Gnani.ai name nine Indian languages each. Always test the exact language and the English mix your callers use, because a long list does not prove quality.
Can a small business use an enterprise voice AI platform?
+
Usually not well. Enterprise platforms sell through demos, pilots and contracts, and their pricing is built for large programmes. A small business is better served by a self-serve product with published rates and free test credits, such as Outpero, Ringg AI or Vomyra, and can move up later if volumes demand it.
What should I test before choosing an AI voice agent in India?
+
Test language fit, response gap, interruption handling, a mid-sentence switch to English, transfer to a person, and the written price. Use one real script on every vendor and call from your own phone. Finish with a ten-number pilot and read the transcripts before you commit a full list.
The Outpero team builds AI voice agents for Indian businesses, in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam and English. Figures are from Outpero's own product unless another source is named.
