How do I get AI call results into Google Sheets?
The simplest way to get AI call results into Google Sheets is to point Outpero's post-call webhook at Zapier or Make and add a row for each call. Every row can hold the phone number, outcome, summary, sentiment, recording link and your custom fields. For one-off reporting, the dashboard's CSV export opens straight in Sheets.
Three routes, from easiest
- —CSV export: download call logs or the leads database from the dashboard and import into Sheets. Fine for weekly reviews, not for a live view.
- —Webhook to Zapier or Make: each call result triggers a new row. Live, no code, and the most common set-up.
- —Live spreadsheet action: the agent itself reads and writes a spreadsheet during the call, opt-in per AI employee. Useful when the sheet is part of the workflow, such as marking a slot as taken.
Webhook to Sheets, step by step
- 01Create a sheet with headers: date, name, phone, outcome, summary, sentiment, recording, and one column per custom field.
- 02In Zapier, create a Zap with Webhooks by Zapier, Catch Hook. In Make, add a Custom webhook module. Copy the URL.
- 03Paste that URL as the webhook in Outpero and choose what to send: every call, completed calls only, or voicemail only.
- 04Make one test call so the tool sees a real payload.
- 05Add Google Sheets, create spreadsheet row in Zapier or add a row in Make, and map each field to its column.
- 06Switch it on and check the next few rows.
Choosing which calls to send
Every call gives a full audit trail, including no-answers and voicemails, which helps when tracking retries and connect rate. Completed calls only keeps the sheet to real conversations and is easier for a sales team to work from. Many teams run two sheets: an all-calls log for the manager and a completed-calls sheet the sales team filters by outcome.
Make the sheet useful
Add an owner column and a status column the team updates after their own follow-up. Use conditional formatting to highlight rows where the outcome is qualified or a callback was requested. Filter views per salesperson stop people editing each other's rows. If the sheet grows past a few thousand rows a month, move to a CRM; Sheets is a good start, not a system of record.
Keep personal data tidy
Recordings and transcripts contain personal data. Share the sheet only with the people who need it, and remember that the DPDP Act 2023 obligations around purpose and retention apply to your copy as much as to the original.

Follow-up questions
Can the AI read from a sheet too, not just write results to it?
+
Yes, if you enable the live spreadsheet action. The agent can look up a row during the call, for example a customer's order status or the next free demo slot, and write back what changed. Keep that separate from logging results, which is better done through the post-call webhook, so your call log never mixes with the sheets the agent edits.
