What is Call concurrency?
Call concurrency is the number of phone calls a system can run at the same moment.
Also called: concurrent calls, parallel calls, simultaneous calls
For a human team, concurrency equals the number of people on the phones: ten telecallers, ten simultaneous calls at most. For telephony software it is bounded by the channels available on the trunk, and for an AI voice agent by how many conversations the platform runs in parallel. Concurrency, together with average call length, sets how fast a list can be worked: 2,000 numbers at three minutes each is 100 hours on one line, but ten hours across 10.
