What is Cost per call?
Cost per call is the total cost of making phone calls — people, telephony, software and overheads — divided by the number of calls actually made.
Also called: cost per connected call, calling cost
For a human telecaller in India it is mostly salary: roughly ₹15,000–₹25,000 a month for one person working one shift and handling one call at a time, plus seat, phone, training and attrition costs. Spread across the connected calls in a month, the true cost per call is often higher than it looks, especially once idle time between calls is counted. AI voice agents are usually priced per minute of talk time, so the cost per call is simply the rate multiplied by the call length.
