What is Call transcription?
Call transcription is converting the audio of a phone call into written text, usually with each line labelled by speaker.

It is done by automatic speech recognition, either live as the call happens or in batch afterwards, which is generally more accurate because the model can use the full context. Indian calls add specific difficulties: code-switched sentences, personal and locality names, and numbers spoken in mixed languages, such as 'do lakh fifty thousand'. Narrowband phone audio and background noise make all of these harder.
